Coffee species (Coffea canephora) that yields smaller beans and is more resistant to diseases (especially rust). It produces a strong and bitter drink with higher caffeine content. It is generally grown below 1,000 masl, in countries such as Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia and Uganda. It presumably originated in Zaire.
